Wheat Bran

A number of different types of bran are used in Kellogg’s bran products. The most famous of which are Kellogg’s® All-Bran® and Kellogg’s® Sultana Bran.

The size of the flakes and their density are very important. The bran comes from the wheat milling process. Particular flour mills have developed the equipment and techniques to produce specific brans to Kellogg specifications.

The storage and transport of bran requires specialised equipment and procedures. This is due to the flaky nature of the material, which tends to make particles stick together and resist movement through conventional grain handling systems.
