5 Fun ways to health and fitness

To help parents and teachers of Australia increase children’s levels of physical activity and to improve their health and fitness, Kellogg has developed one of the first sets of Australian recommendations that link nutrition and physical activity for children.

The ‘5 Ways to Health and Fitness’ is a set of guidelines that presents a holistic and fun approach to balance nutrition and physical activity to achieve health and fitness and to assist children in their learning generally. As part of this program, Kellogg have developed a website which explains the ‘5 Ways’ concept to achieve health and fitness.

The Kids Health and Fitness website provides students with the opportunity to learn more about how to achieve health and fitness through interactive learning quests developed by The Technology School of the Future. Each of the ‘5 Ways to Health and Fitness’ has a learning quest. A learning quest is based on a challenging task, and provides opportunities for students to research, work collaboratively, problem solve and present their findings. The learning quest also provides students with the opportunity to learn more about the ‘5 Ways to Health and Fitness’.
