Nutrition Facts
In order to meet the needs of both you and your baby, your daily protein requirements are increased during breastfeeding (even more so than during pregnancy). For breastfeeding mothers the RDI for protein is 67g per day, but it can vary for each individual. Your dietitian can help you determine how much is enough for you. Good sources of protein include lean meat, poultry, fish, eggs, low fat dairy foods, legumes and nuts.
