Healthy snacking
Despite the widespread assumption that it’s somehow incompatible with a healthy diet, eating ‘little and often’ can actually be a very good way to help you get the nutrients you need each day. Of course, what you snack on has a major bearing on how healthy your diet is. There’s no reason why sensible amounts of fresh and dried fruit, vegetable sticks, soups and salads, cheese, fruit, nut and grain bars, cereal bars, low fat yoghurts and unsalted nuts shouldn’t provide some of the nutrients you need throughout the day.
