Why do you care about nutrition at Kellogg’s?
Working with a company like Kellogg’s is very rewarding for a dietitian, especially if you want to make a difference. As the experts in nutrition, we’re helping to influence how our foods are made and how they are sold.
It’s about seeing the food we help to create come to life on shelf and then helping Kellogg to communicate the benefits. That’s what keeps me coming back every day.
What is your favourite part of your role?
I work with some of the smartest, most creative people in the food business, all with a true passion for making nutritious food that people will love. Every person at Kellogg’s feels proud when consumers let us know that they love something we have made for them. It’s like the pride a parent feels when their child excels in something and it inspires us to do bigger and better things.
Is there a personal drive to be a part of good nutrition at Kellogg’s?
I grew up eating breakfast cereal, and my kids do as well. As a mum, it can be a battle to make sure your child has food in their tummy before going off to tackle their day. A bowl of cereal & milk with some fruit is so easy to prepare, I can do it in 30 seconds.
I know that my kids are getting a great start with grains for energy, essential vitamins and minerals and a good helping of dairy. Everyone’s a winner! My kids especially love Special K, Sultana Bran Buds and Rice Bubbles.
If people could know one thing about Kellogg’s what would you like them to remember?
We have a rich heritage of food innovation at Kellogg’s. Everyone who works for the company wants to make foods that people love and that they feel good about eating. We all arrive at work each day with a passion for the foods we make and for the new ones we’re working on! It’s an exciting time to be working in the rapidly-changing food space and to be able to share the foods we create with all of you.
