HELPING FIGHT FOOD INSECURITY ACROSS AUSTRALIA AND NZ
The demand for food relief continues to grow in Australia and NZ, with 48% of low-income households in Australia experiencing food insecurity, and food insecurity among NZ families with children rising sharply in 2024, with half of Pacific children going without food often or sometimes.
Kellanova’s ambition is to donate 100 million serves of food across Australia and NZ by 2030 to help feed those in need. To help Kellanova deliver on our commitment we partner with a Foodbank Australia and the NZ Food Networking. In 2024 we donated more than 5.6 million serves of food for those in need to Foodbank Australia, and 1.6 million serves of food to the NZ Food Network to distribute through the country.
Earlier this year we also donated 200 cases of Kellogg’s cereals to Queensland based charity Serving Our People - an organisation that provides food and essential items to those in need. This donation, which helped provide 42,000 meals, came at a much-needed time given the impact of Cyclone Alfred on so many Queenslanders.
As part of National Volunteer Week 2025, the Kellanova team restocked street pantries across both Australia and NZ – helping provide an additional 6,000 serves of cereal for families in need.
So far in 2025, Kellanova has donated over 4.7 million serves to its food relief partners.
